Cross Section through Dungeness

I’ve been trying to figure out how a section through Dungeness would work in terms of ground water levels and the combination of sweet and salt water on the landscape and it appears that the two water types use to mix up until the early 1900s when salt marshes were still prevalent on site but now they are completely separate entities. I’ve used a similar labelling technique as Tracey Metz to distinguish sweet/salt/wet/dry landscapes.

  1. Good first attempt at the section – the exaggerated format works well but I think we need to see it in conjunction with a plan so we understand where you are cutting through and the different conditions and types of water we are seeing. Can you bring the Tracey Metz book with you on Tuesday so we can look at it?
